Developed through a strategic partnership with the Berger Organization, 570 Broad has been anchor in Newark´s business district revival. A Newark landmark constructed in 1960 by Helmsley-Spear, the property served as the New Jersey headquarters for IBM, and later as a regional office for First National State Bank, before remaining vacant for several years.

Recognizing the outstanding potential of this property, Mark Caller negotiated the purchase of the building´s outstanding debt for less than 50 cents on the dollar, repositioning it as a 200,000 square ft. Class A office hub. The plan included updating the office spaces with the latest technology, high-speed elevators, HVAC and security systems, and high-speed fiber-optics, conference facilities, and a fitness center for tenants and their employees.

Working collaboratively with the Berger Organization, the newly redesigned building was quickly brought to near occupancy, heralding a dynamic revival to the Newark business district. Prominent tenants include State Farm Insurance, Chase, Atlantic Federal Credit Union, PC Tech, and LycaTech.

Marcal negotiated with NJ Transit to provide crucial parking space. The building is strategically positioned directly across the Newark Light Rail stop, and within minutes of Routes 21, 1&9 and 22, Interstate 280 and 78, the New Jersey Turnpike, and the Garden State Parkway.
